In the spirit of creating a true sense of terroir and a great escape for our runners, we’ve partnered with several Prince Edward County businesses and events to bring you a fabulous weekend!
Our friends at the Terroir Wine Festival, which takes place May 25th at the Crystal Palace in Picton, have offered our runners at $10 advance ticket sale discount. Spend the day before our run meeting the winemakers, grape growers and chefs from the region!
Alternatively, you could take in a half-day Sandbanks Vacations Wine Tour on Saturday. Starting at 1:00pm, the tour includes a visit to four wineries with three tastings at each – $96.05 ($85 +HST incl). Lucky for you price includes door-to-door transportation from area accommodations.
Last, but by no means least, prepare yourself for our run and for a delicious dinner at Pomodoro featuring the freshest seasonal ingredients crafted by Chef Matt DeMille. With stints at Canoe, Parts & labour and Le Select, Chef Matt DeMille’s growing reputation for simple excellence was built in the kitchens of some of the best urban restaurants in Canada and now he’s in PEC making culinary delights that focus’s on the bounty of the County.
