We’re thrilled to have one of the County’s newest wineries (so new that they don’t even open until the end of May 2014) join our run – welcome Trail Estate Winery! Located along our route on Benway Road, Trail Estate Winery is focused solely on small-batch wines. Their goal is to create superb wines utilizing the best hand-picked grapes, which will reflect the particular vintage and showcase strong varietal character. Our runners will be getting a sneak peak of their 2013 Sauvignon Blanc at our finish line and will have to return to PEC this summer to try their full suite of wines. We’re excited to launch the first of many runs through wine countries across the globe! We celebrate great legs and great body!
Our inaugural run on May 29th, 2011 is in beautiful Prince Edward County. It’s about the journey as much as the destination.
Join us in Wine County of Ontario. Our run will take us from The Old Third along Closson Road past Closson Chase Vineyards, Lacey Estates Winery, Lift Haus Winery, The Grange of Prince Edward Estate Winery and Hinterland Estate Winery, down Benway Road to Greer Road past Casa Dea Winery, and finally around the tractor at Rosehall Run Winery to the finish line at Norman Hardie Winery
10.7 km of county roads, a kick-ass local lunch (wood fired Flammen Kuchen pizza and Vicki’s Veggies spring green salad) and great Ontario wines, of course!
