We ain’t got no bananas!

With less than 3 weeks to go to our 3rd annual PEC Terroir Run (there is still time and space available to register HERE) we are excited to announce some delicious new additions to our event! With our run starting an hour earlier this year at 9am, we anticipate some of our runners will be zipping to the finish line within the hour and we want to ensure that everyone is hydrated and well nourished and no, there won’t be any bananas or crappy bagels to greet them there.

3_logoIn addition to our water stations at Closson Chase, the Grange of Prince Edward Winery and at Benway Road and Greer Road operated by Karlo Estates Winery, the folks from By Chadsey’s Cairns will be operating a fourth (and final) water station for our runners at the junction of Greer Road and Loyalist Parkway (Highway 33).

Pluck Teas are blended from the top 10% of whole leaf premium teas available from around the world. They source from ethical tea partnerships, sustainably managed tea gardens, and organically certified sources, and blend and package locally.

The wood-fired pizza ovens at Norman Hardie Winery will be ready to serve lunch at 11am and wines, cider and beer from PEC will begin to flow at the same time. Along with the fabulous Neapolitan style pizzas, our culinary partner Cynthia Peters of From the Farm Cooking School will be serving fresh spring salads utilizing the finest ingredients from Vicki’s Veggies and the County.

Humble Bread is one of the first bakeries in Canada to join in the Rye Bread Project – way to go Nat and Henry!
